Hilarity and Insanity

So...today was very interesting. Yes, this seems to be the common word used lately. Let me explain. I spend most of the day with my brother helping him do stuff at work, filling out forms etc. Then I went on to help his friend, of whom I am giving an alias...Bob. :) So "Bob" gave me a lot of paperwork to do and I was helping him out. It's funny to me how people can look at you and just assume things. For instance, a few months ago my brother and I went out for Chinese food. My nephew, his son, was with us. The waiter came to our table and when he talked he made the assumption that I was my brother's wife! How insane! He called him 'dad' and me 'mom'! haha So funny. Then today at work "Bob" and I went to get some paperwork from a different dept and when we got there a lady asked if I was his wife! He was like ,"no she is the little sister of so and so." The lady laughed and said sorry she thought I was "Bob's" wife. I had a quippy moment and said, "He wishes." The look on "Bob's" face was funny as his mind immediately went to the gutter. Afterwards we were laughing about it and he said as we left, and forgive my language but he said, "that would be one hell of a heart attack for me and one hell of a way to go!" HAHA oh my gosh that was funny. Of course he meant it sexually but it was just so funny. He even told my brother when we got back up to the office. Man, that was insane. Its so crazy how one assumption can be the start of a whole string of hilarious things. :p

All Work and No Play???? Bullcrap!

So as you can tell from my title, this post obviously has something to do with work. You would be right in assuming...even though making assumptions actually makes u....well, never mind. lol Anyway (there's that word again :)) work today was interesting. I am interning at the Probation dept where my brother works and lets just say that interesting doesn't even begin to describe my experiences there so far. Things can be crazy. I am learning so much and enjoying every bit of it. I am a big people person and the people that work there are phenomenal. They are so nice to me and helpful. They all want to teach me something and its a lot of fun! One of my 'co-workers' has been really awesome. I will refrain from using his name because its a need to know thing and you don't NEED to know :p. He's so funny and full of advice. He's kinda becoming a father-figure to me which is awesome. He and I joke around about everything and today he even told one of his co-workers that he and I are very similar its scary. He loves coffee and so do I and he makes his very strong and most people don't like it, but I do. He also uses all-natural sugar and its pretty good actually. He's been really nice to me and it helps especially when you don't know much about the people around you. I went to court with him yesterday and we sat on the back bench just laughing about stupid stuff and having a crazy time. He said its a wonder the judge didn't hold us in contempt of court for 20 days for it! haha It was hilarious. That's when I really started to open up and be myself. When you start a new job or are in a new situation its hard to just be yourself and its even harder to fit in. Well, all of the people working there have let me fit in which makes me happy. But he's a cool guy and I've actually found myself opening up to him which is something I just don't do very often. He has that personality I guess and he really likes to talk which is good because so do I...isn't it very apparent? All in all, its been a great experience so far and I can't wait for 2moro! First Musing

So.....this is my new blog. I figured I needed to take up a new hobby...so I am. You'll have to bear with me as I love to use dots.....and also love to use the word 'Anyway'. LOL Anyway, (case in point)you have probably already read my info on the side column so I guess I won't have to reiterate. Yes, I used that word. What can I say? I'm a spelling nerd. As you read I am a big NCIS fan. I love to watch the clips on youtube and read fanfiction about it. Gibbs is awesome! I really like Abby too and I can relate to her. I love the relationship she has with Gibbs. It's very touching. Right now its 11:49 pm and I am bored. Don't really wanna go to bed yet. Got church in the morning too. Went to see the movie Public Enemies today with my stepdad. It was a pretty good movie. I had read a bit about John Dillinger recently but the movie really did him justice. It kinda made you sympathize with him actually and even glorified him in a sense. I really like Johnny Depp as an actor and I like Christian Bale too so I enjoyed the movie. The character dynamics were good and the woman who played Dillinger's wife was really good. The movie really evoked a lot of emotion out of me and I found myself tearing up at some parts.

So things have been kinda weird lately cuz my mom is on a mission trip to China. Its hard having her gone cuz me and her are really close. She is my confidante as well as best friend. I miss her but I know she is enjoying her trip and needs to be there. She'll be back in two weeks.

Well, I guess I've said a lot so far and maybe I should go to bed now cuz I'm gettin tired and I have to get up early to take a shower....well goodnite for now and I will post some more musings later!
